Hunters belong to the wild food species. Making a good recipe of these wild foods will always keep hunters hanging around during Texas deer hunts. Its not every food that can be taken to hunting or that can prepared for hunters to eat. While going for exotic hunting, hunters usually have their backpacks loaded with all sorts of things they would need, including food – very important.The reason for this food in the backpack is that hunters burn so much calories in the field and would always need constant replacement.


This burning of calories ensures they lose weight if not replaced and so, fatigue can also set in. To tackle the high burning of calories and avoid fatigue setting in, hunters need food that can help them sustain their weight and energy foods to help as the body will need stamina and strength to function properly.That is why food for hunters must be food that will help the body generate the required energy level at all times.



If not, the energy level will deplete and fatigue and physical body weakness will set in – and this is not needed in the hunting field. Foods to eat while hunting should be rich in carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Carbohydrates are essential macro nutrients that comes as starch, sugar and fiber. When carbohydrates is lacking, most of the body system will be impaired in their function. Foods such as bread, cereal, potatoes, candies, snacks, cakes, flours – plantain flour, tiger-nut flour, rice flour, cassava flour, bread flour etc can make good recipes for hunters.

 

Recipes made from plantain flours are rich in carbohydrates and contains high calories. Pastas and foods made from potatoes can make real good dishes for hunters.

 

Oatmeals are very rich in carbohydrates and are good energy sources for hunters.

 

Jams, and sugary drinks are also good sources of carbohydrates for hunters.


Protein foods are very necessary for hunters. Recipes from Almond, Mushrooms, sea food such as salmon contains Omega 3 fatty acid.



White meat poultry, milk cheese, eggs, pork, soy and yoghurt are rich in protein and should be a delight in the hunters’ recipe.




Eggs and home fries, mushroom meals, soy drinks are all good for hunters.



Milk drinks should be kept handy by hunters at all times. High caloried foods importance to the hunter cannot be overemphasized. Peanut butter , chia seeds, dark chocolate, whole wheat bread, olive oil, coconut milk and flour, butter and cheese, trail mix, dates, Noddles, granola are very high in calories and should always be part of the hunters’ food. Foods such as butter, especially made from peanuts contains high calories and should help sustain the calories need of hunters.


Chicken meat is rich in calories. It also contains proteins and can also serve as a quality food for hunters. A combination of macaroni and cheese makes good for relaxation and getting good sleep. Its very good for hunters too. Dark chocolate like Snickers bar with its peanuts contents is very high in calories and makes a good food for hunters.


Trail mix offers variety of nuts and fruits with very high calories. So having a backpack of trail mix or backpack full of nuts will serve the hunter a great deal of calories. Summer sausages contains proteins and also boasts of high supplies of calories. Its also good for hunters.




Bacon provides enough protein and fats content to the body and also helps to slow down the rate at which the body burns calories, the hunter would need this in his diet so much.



Granola is a snack bar made from peanuts with plenty sugar. Its packed with so much calories, its has enough fats and carbohydrates contents and would serve the hunters’ food needs well. Jerky is also very good as it supplies good quantity of fats and calories. Pulled pork sandwiches is good for the hunter.




Wild game dishes such as dew stew is also good hunters.
